Uncertainty is reality

Going through change is hard - it can create all kinds of emotional upheaval and feelings of uncertainty. We can feel unsettled, as if the rug has been pulled out from under us. We might not feel like we know who we are anymore - so much of our identity can be based on our relationships, careers, and communities. During a transition we may feel restless, anxious, depressed, and have difficulty in day to day functioning. Change of all kinds can require support as we adjust, settle, and work on finding ourselves again.

life transitions include

  • The loss of a family member, close friend, partner, or pet

  • The addition of a new family member (birth, adoption, marriage, blended families, etc)

  • The end of a significant relationship

  • The beginning of a new relationship

  • A change in career or job

  • Moving to a new city

  • Coming out as LGBTQIA+

If you are experiencing uncertainty around your sexuality or gender identity, therapy can help! It doesn’t matter where you are in the process of discovering yourself. I will strive to provide you with a supportive environment to explore who you are and what matters to you. I can also partner with you to identify resources and external support as you decide what steps you need to take to live the life you want.
